Capturing The Wind
A couple of months ago when I was in Lubbock, I stopped by the American Wind Power Center & Museum. It's not hard to find...just look for the one big 3-blade wind generator on the east side of town. I've always had both an appreciation and fascination for these devices which made settling the arid plains entirely possible. Stormchasers traversing the plains are intimately familiar with them as landscape icons of tornado alley. In any event, if you find yourself in Lubbock, stop by for a visit. They have working models outside and an outstanding exhibit inside. In fact, the large modern wind generator not only supplies the museum's entire electrical power, they are able to sell some back to the grid. It's a pretty cool place. A few pics:

I LOVE windmills. Awesome shots, Steve!
Well, if you love them, this is the place to come see them. :-) It is well worth the visit if you are in the area.
There is also a good museum exhibit of windmills at the South pLains Museum in Canyon...just up the road a piece.
I will have to do that when I make it out there... you sure you want the Dewvoid in your neck of the woods...? Remember, we talked about the whole Dewvoid/Stevoid interaction... what about the Earth's rotation...?
dewvoid + stevoid = singularity?
I'm sure with the Dewvoid and Stevoid (props to dixonge for that label) combined in one central location, we should at least obtain a wobble in the earth's rotation. :-) We can become the next "Global Warming" scare! lol
Two wrongs make a right...
negative times negative makes positive...
If you two are in the same place at the same time - I want to be there to see what happens!
