Hey, Steve! Ken Reynolds here (sirken.wordpress.com). We trailed this storm all the way through Breckenridge, until we could go no further due to damage east of the city. We never could see the tornado and actually believe that it was rain-wrapped when it struck Breckenridge, though I won't say for sure either way. Today was definitely an exciting day, nonetheless.

Hi Ken! What a helluva storm. My jaw was on the floor watching radar. Looking at the various photos and video out there, it was a very difficult chase with terrain and the LCLs scraping the tree tops (typical for warm front chases where there is a true cold pool north of the boundary).

After seeing the radar images, I'm surprised and thankful the damage wasn't much worse...and that it didn't plow through DFW. The mini-haboob with a couple of embedded tornadoes overnight was bad enough.
