5/31 Pics

A few pics from my little chase adventure in Lamb/Hale counties, Texas.

I think this feature below *might* have been mistakenly reported as the tornado just east of Cotton Center. I sure didn't see one.

I wonder if they'll let me come out a little early... I'm sitting here drooling over my keyboard looking at your phenomenal wall cloud shots. Given the fact that even the Stevoid gets some spectacular sites, the Dewvoid remains hopeful. Beautiful work, Steve.

I don't know any technical terms about your pictures but they are beautiful. God is the most brillant artist!

Well, thank ya'll for the compliments. All the credit goes to the artist though as Dawn pointed out. I just pointed a lens at His canvas. :-)

The colors on this storm were stunning and the pics don't capture the entire sky. It was quite the splendid event.

Yeah Glenn, I'm not sure what one would call it technically. It was left over from the original wall cloud. Wall+shelf cloud = "Walf" or "Shall" cloud? LOL!

Rick, I think it us that needs to take care as Dew storms the plains. LOL! I'm not sure we know how to make mudslides (but we do know magaritas!). We ain't got no fancy "pool boys" either, pardner. :-)

I'd love to have a camera in hand and capture her expression around one of the many feed lots that dot the PH. LOL!

it's only 12 months before ya'll make it out here...it'll pass before you know it. ;-)

Nice pics, I was watching you on spotter network, you had to be alone by yourself out there!

Thanks! I was pretty much by myself, although there were a few spotters about. I chatted for awhile with the spotter net control from the Abernathy Fire Department. I shared some radar data him as we watched the wall cloud meander eastward. Other than that, just me and the jackrabbits and a whole ton of bugs trying to fly into my nose and ears. LOL!!
